“12 Miles” is the 4th release by Tim Spear under the moniker Secret Nuclear. The EP contains 3 new tracks, ranging from vintage electronica, through centrepiece “Total destruction” which veers into electronic noise composition, to the sparse closer “crater”.

The work is inspired by a photo from “todays civil defence”, a booklet which was published in the early 1960’s, showing the radius of effect of an Atomic blast.

“12 Miles” is the first work to feature hardware such as the Kastle, a mini-modular synth made by Czech-based Bastl instruments, which despite its minuscule size can deliver a terrifying output volume.
